Serving God is in obedience to Him. 1 John 2: 17 And the world passes away and disappears, and with it the forbidden cravings (the passionate desires, the lust) of it; but he who does the will of God and carries out His purposes in his life abides (remains) forever.

Understanding your purpose brings peace, direction, and helps you serve others with love and intention according to God's will and by guidance of the Holy Spirit. It begins the day you commit to following Christ and making Jesus Christ your Lord as well as Savior.
